Twisted Frozen Yoghurt

Yesterday the weather was fantastic. It did not rain as I was expecting it to. Bondi Beach looked perfect! It was really warm and I was itching to go for a swim... but more than that I was also having some really twisted cravings for frozen yoghurt!

I went to see Cass at her new shop. It's called Twisted Frozen Yoghurt. The shop itself is a real eye candy. The color scheme reminded me of bubblegum flavored slurpee. I was so preoccupied with admiring the decor that I did notice the cup full of buttons that she was holding. She gave me four... and they're all funny! I think I'll put them on when we go out on New Year's Eve.

Anyway, back to the Frozen Yoghurt. First you get to choose the flavor, or you can have a combination of two, or what they call a twist. And you tell them which size you want, and you choose the toppings too. Pretty straightforward.

There are a lot of toppings to choose from, like Marshmallows, Chocolates, Mini-Oreos and M&M's. I decided to have Gumi Bears and crushed Tim Tams on top of Knickers on a Twist, which is a combination of Chocolate and Coconut Frozen Yoghurt.

And if you do forget what it was that you ordered you can just turn the cup around and everything's there. And in large fonts you're also reminded that it's 98% Fat Free! It's a true Guilt Free indulgence, unlike Ice Cream.

The combination of Tim Tams and Gumi Bears hit the spot. Crunchy vs Chewy! The real treat however was the Frozen Yoghurt itself. The idea isn't new. There are a lot of other similar themed shops around the world (ie. Yogen Früz, Red Mango and Pink Berry). And I've tried a lot of them before.

What sets Twisted apart is that you could actually taste the 'realness' of the milk. Others tend to taste a bit fake, obviously using cheaper dairy substitutes. But the Frozen Yoghurt that I had tasted and smelled like real milk. The Chocolate and Coconut flavors were not overpowering the pure taste of the yoghurt. It wasn't too sweet, it wasn't too sour. And the texture was perfect.

I was really happy that I went to Twisted today. And I was even more happy when Cass gave me a Tub of Twisted Yoghurt to take home. It took me a while to make up my mind because there were so many flavors! In the end I decided to have Mango. And it came in a really nice carry bag. It was so Twistedly good and I'm definitely going back to try the shakes and other flavors!
