These pictures were taken on the 7th of October at
Kunshan. One thing I noticed about the place,
even though it's relatively small compared to cities
like Shanghai, is that there are a lot of Luxury
European Cars. There's probably more BMW's in
Kunshan than there are in Sydney. But of course
there are still more traditional forms of transport
available.
I'm not really into foot massage or any kind of
massage in particular. But Sheila seems to be keen
so she gave it a go. The girl who did the massage
had really strong hands according to Sheila. She
doesn't look like it, but I bet she'd probably beat
me in arm wrestling.
The massage was good, but Sheila was a bit ticklish,
especially with her foot. But she did enjoy it. And
then she tried her luck on some Chinese scratchies.
Hmm... not that lucky. Maybe next time.
We walked down the main street. There's a lot of
shops but not a lot of people about. Unlike in
Shanghai where you couldn't even see where you're
going.
Also there were not that many scooters or bicycles.
The traffic wasn't that bad. We saw some statues. We
took photos right next to them. It's kind'a like
meeting the locals. Maybe the statues have something
to do with Kunshan being the birthplace of one of
China's oldest Opera Styles. Hmm...
Occasionally we'd stop and look inside a shop, like
this one where they sell all sort of cute
stuff. Not my thing. So I just stayed outside but
the sales girl wouldn't stop staring at me.
And then later in the afternoon we boarded a fast
train back to Shanghai.
