A couple of weeks ago Sheila and I went to
Coogee Beach. Those of us living in Sydney are
lucky because we're surrounded by beautiful beaches,
and Coogee's one of them. Unfortunately, because of
our irregular schedule we don't really get to go
that often. Even though it's surprisingly easy from
Sydney's CBD to get to one of the main beaches. It's
just a short bus ride away. But whenever we get the
chance it always turns out to be a special day!
The one thing I like about Coogee, as compared to
Bondi or
Manly, is that it's not as crowded. And if you
go on a weekday you can pretty much have the whole
beach to yourself. It's very clean. But we decided
not to take a dip 'coz there were a lot of
Bluebottle Jellyfish being washed up. Oh, and
there's also that guy with a basketball who talks to
himself. But he's cool.
It was an overcast day, and from time to time it
would rain. But that's alright. It's a really good
feeling to stare out into the ocean and to walk
barefoot on the white sand. There's something
peaceful about it. Sheila and I should really go to
a beach more often.
After washing our feet we took a bus back to the
city. And we had an early dinner and we hung out in
the mall.
I don't really like shopping in Sydney, but the new
Westfield mall in Pitt Street's got some awesome
couches and seats. They're so big that I actually
don't have to worry about fitting in them or
breaking them. Nice!
