Brazilian Brigadeiro

Every morning on my way to work I always stop at this tiny coffee shop to buy a Large Flat White. The shop is quite tiny. The guy who makes the coffee barely has enough room to move about. And yet there is always a line, while the bigger coffee shop next to it barely has any customers. I think that's because of the quality of the coffee and the speed of service. Nice!

Nubs asked if she could do some cooking in the kitchen. I told her "of course!" So she made Brigadeiro, which is the National Candy of Brazil. She showed us how easy it was to make. Just Condensed Milk, which she obviously couldn't resist, some Cocoa Powder, stir it over medium heat until it thickens, then pour it on a plate to cool down.

And while the mix was cooling down in the fridge I did a few orders, and one of them was the Grilled Blue Eye Cod with Mash and Roasted Pepper Salsa.

It was very straightforward to make because it's all about the freshness of the fish. But even though it's simple I still make an effort to make it look good... good enough for two Food Bloggers to take photos of. Coolness!!!

Then a few hours later the Chocolate Powder and Condensed Milk mix is ready to be rolled out into balls. Nubs skillfully shaped them into perfect spheres and dropped them on a plate full of chocolate sprinkles. Wow!

Then she rolled them on the Chocolate Sprinkles and placed them on a platter for us to try. They look so delicious! Oh YUMMY!!!

Good thing Nubs made those Brigadeiros, which kept me happy on my way home... even while I read how Berbatov's Hat Trick gave Man U a 3-2 victory over Liverpool. Sour news indeed!
