Bottoms Up

1:17am Thursday 15 April 2010 Sydney (gmt+10)

Last week... after a long, busy and very stressful day we went to the Ship Inn to unwind with a few drinks.

It's good to go out and socialize with your work mates, but some people  do take their drinking sessions too seriously... like Dan, the Irish Barman, who was being quite an animal. Hehehe!

Jana was there, along with Karin... who both literally let their hair down. And there was Rob... and even Greg (who first appeared here back in 2003) was there. And of course we mostly talked about what's good and bad about work, about how stupid some of the customers were, about the other staff and how dumb and annoying some of them are, and who's going out with who... um, the usual gossip stuff, with the occasional eyebrow raising and 'roll-eyes' reaction from Jana. Hehehe!

And of course no drinking session is complete without PIZZA! I ordered the pizza myself, but I haven't got a clue what the were. I just pointed on the menu, paid the barmaid and a few minutes later there were two pizzas on our table! And Karin started taking pictures... and I think she likes to take pictures as much as I do. I wonder if she's got a website or a blog too?

The drinking went on for hours, and after a while everyone seemed to have gotten a bit too playful. You can gauge just how long we've been there by our behavior. What started out as mostly social chatting degraded into mindless head licking and other weird stuff that drunk people do! Hehehe!

Just before I left Avi turned up. He's usually the last to finish at work because he sorts out the bar and do closing. He seemed ok at first... but it didn't take long before he started sticking his tongue out and licking people on the head. OH my! Hehehe!

Rob, Jana and myself had to come back to work rather early the following day (or more like a few hours later!). Rob and I stuffed ourselves with big, fatty burgers... the perfect hangover food! While Jana passed out on the couch as soon as we got lunch out of the way. Nice! :)
