Goodah!!!

9:48am Friday 28 March 2008 Manila (gmt+8)

What's better than a restaurant that stays open 24 hours a day? ...one that stays open 25 hours a day!!! Hehehe! I know it sounds absurd, but here in Banawe there's a food outlet that claims to do just that.

The trouble with establishments that stays open all day and all night is that sometimes there are no customers. And that means the staff gets bored, and they start bumming around or they start doing non-work related activities... like playing sudoku, like what that chick was doing before and after we placed our order. Hehehe! So it does take a bit longer for the food to come out.

I always have the Classic Tapsi which is garlic fried rice, strips of beef (which sometimes tastes and feels like leather), pickled papaya, and a fried egg... but I always ask for an extra egg. SY likes congee with tripe and also a bowl of diced fried tofu.

There's really nothing fancy about Goodah. I guess it's just somewhere to go to when you feel the urge to eat something at, say around 3am. But I have to say, it's not that bad either. I really don't mind going there, provided all the other nice places are already shut for the day. :)
