Slow Time

Before I moved to Sydney in 1994 life was very different for me. When I was living full time in Bulacan things went at a very slow pace. Whenever I get inundated with work, or overwhelmed by deadlines... I always look back at those days when I got to spend an entire day doing absolutely nothing. And when I was staying at Grandma's place that's what I got to experience again... but this time it's different. It felt like trying to put on my favorite t-shirt from when I was 10 years old. I seem to have outgrown it!

I spent the whole afternoon, staring at the washings... literally watching them dry. Then I stared out the window and watched the puppies wander around the street. Then I had prawns and what's left of the ice cream. Then I had a nap. When I woke up I did it all over again. Hehehe! It was quite fun at first... but after a while it didn't feel right anymore. I cannot be without anything to do... I just don't feel comfortable. I'm not the same person that I was before I went to Sydney. And I guess even if I come back home and do the same stuffs that I used to do before... I'll never be used to it again as I did then. I don't like slow time anymore.

Oh, and I also spent a lot of time in my grandma's garden. She's good at making plants grow and flowers bloom. I also got to watch the neighbours hang their clothes and clean their front yard. And I also got to meet some of her friends. And she always tell my cousins off whenever she sees them playing video games and tells them to go and study instead... but they jump right into it as soon as she leaves the room. Hehehe!
