Weekend At Grandma's

9:45am Wednesday 12 March 2008 Manila (gmt+8)

I spent the weekend at Grandma's place. But before trekking out to Bulacan I had dinner with Miss SY and her family. Eu's there, so were her folks. We went to Tong Yang along Quezon Avenue. There we had the "eat-all-you-can shabu-shabu".

You basically have a frying grill on your table, with a small pot in the middle filled with stock. And you get to choose whatever stuff you want to cook, like seafood, chicken, vegies, beef and other yummy stuffs. And there's also heaps of ice cream and you can make up your own halo-halo... and you can have as many as you want. Coolness! :)

The following day Marco picked me up and we went to Bulacan. But en route we had to fill up at a gas station. It was really funny... because the gas station chick wouldn't leave him alone. She kept coming back and fort. I think she wants his autograph or even his phone number. Hehehe!

When we finally arrived at Grandma's place we had lunch. She's been waiting for us all morning and she was really happy to see us. And so were we because we were starving, and there's nothing like good comfort food after a couple of hours of being on the road. :)

We had fried fish. My favorite part is the belly fat! Hehehe! We also had Pork Sinigang and fresh mangoes. And throughout the afternoon we also had Rocky Road ice cream and Square Hopia. Yummy!!! Oh, and we also got to hang out with our cousins Camille and Loise. Cool!
