A Bit Of Home

12:17pm Friday 8 February 2008 Foshan (gmt+8)

Yesterday for breakfast I had pepper chipolatas, french toast, and a couple of bao. I also had chicken congee. Yum! Then I went around the block to watch the dragon dance. Gosh, it's really loud. You can hear it a couple of blocks away. Hehehe!

Then I went for a short walk and went to McDonald's.  I'm not really into McDonald's but I was really curious as to what they have here that they might not have back home. So I got a sweet strawberry drink... and I also got a sweet taro pie. Yum! And the cups are quite interesting. It's transparent and the design's quite cool. :)

Then I went to Starbucks. Hmm... no surprise there. It's almost exactly like what I came across in the US or in Australia with a few unique items in the menu. Even the staff speaks perfect english.

And as I always did in the past I sat there with my latte and thought about things. I still enjoy my quiet time in a coffee shop... but it's not as enjoyable as the times when I had coffee with Miss SY. :)
