Friday was quite okay. Work was as per
normal and I got to spend some time talking
with the staff. Normally I'd be too busy to
have a proper conversation so it was good to
get a chance to chance to know more about
the people that I work with. |
 |
 |
|
But for the entire week I was looking
forward to visiting my favorite Cheese and
Antipasto Bar. I finally got there this
afternoon, but as expected there were a lot
of people so I have to wait a while to get a
seat. |

|
The reason why I like going there is that I
love Cheese!!! Especially the local
blue-vein varieties. Most people would say
that they smell like dirty socks... but I
guess that's one of the reason why I like
them.! |
|
Sniff-Sniff... mmm, dirty socks!!! Yum!!!
Hehehe! |
|
I don't really blame people who are shunning
away from such delicacies. Perhaps it's
because they don't have an in-depth
knowledge of such produce. That's probably
why they have a hard time appreciating the
really "good stuffs". But that's their
problem! Hehehe! |
|
I got myself a cheese platter, with a Brie,
a Roquefort, and a Gorgonzola! Plus the
little bits and pieces like the quince
paste, cream stuffed apricots, olive bread
and sun dried grapes. And on the side I also
had a glass of
Knappstein! |
|
I loved it so much that I got myself another
piece of Blue Orchid and another glass of
Knappstein. Yum!!! |
 |
 |
|
And what really appeals to me about
DJ's Cheese and Antipasto Bar is that
the people who work behind the counter know
all about the stuff that they're putting
together and selling. They're food
professionals. I can sit in the bar and chat
with them about food and other stuff and
they'd know exactly what I'm talking about.
I guess it's really enjoyable for me to see
other pros prepare my Cheese platter because
I know how much effort goes into it. :) |
