A Day At The Zoo |

On Tuesday, instead of just bumming around
in front of the computer I decided to go to
Taronga Zoo. I've been living in Sydney
for so many years but I never had the
chance to go there. The really good thing
was that it was a weekday and the weather
looked pretty sour so it meant that there's
not many people. Nothing annoys me more than
large crowds! |
 |

 |
|
It only took several minutes by ferry to get
there. And from some of the enclosures you
get a good view of the city. Cool!

|
The animals were mostly shy... like the
Elephants. They didn't like to face the
crowd, or maybe they just wanted to show off
their ginormous backsides. Hehehe!
|
|
But the Tigers and Lions were different.
Instead of hiding they proudly sat in front
of the visitors and gave everyone the death
stare. Hehehe! |
 |

|
The picture that I took of the Monkeys is
funny. From my vantage point it looked as
though the tourists are on display. Hehehe! |
|
Supposedly there are times during the day
when they allow visitors to hug and cuddle
some of the Koalas. I didn't make it on
time, but that's alright 'coz I'm not really
interested in that sort of thing.
|
|
But I did notice that the Kangaroos were
very friendly. They actually go up to you.
And when you start petting them they lie on
the ground as if they don't want you to
stop. A lot of the kids wanted to take them
home... and I did see a girl with a Joey in
her bag. Oh my. But later on I found out
that she works there. Hehehe! |
