Homebound

Wednesday 11 April 2007 - 11:49 (gmt +12 / Auckland)

It's a common saying that after an unforgettable trip the journey home is always the longest. Well... mine is literally taking a very long time! We flew out of SFO at 9pm local time and we arrived here in Auckland at 5am local time. That's 13 hours non-stop. Now I'm waiting for a connecting flight to Sydney. Unfortunately it won't be arriving 'til 12:30 pm today due to delays. So far I've been here in the airport for more than 6 hours. I'm glad the flight to New Zealand was very comfortable with plenty of leg room (because I was sitting next to the door) and great in-flight entertainment. Otherwise I'd be a LITTLE cranky by now. Hehehe!

A lot of the other passengers decided to spend the extra waiting time drinking heavily at the bar and then passing out in the lounge area. I thought I'd make better use of my time by reading my book or listening to my mp3 player and playing with my computer while snacking on the Boy Bawang packs that Aunty Mary Anne gave me before I left. They're my favorite! I'm itching to get home but for as long as I have plenty of cornick then I can sit here without getting bored. Cool! :)
