The Castro

Friday 6 April 2007 - 17:21 (gmt - 8 / San Francisco)

Yesterday I went to the Castro. It's like the Oxford Street in Sydney. You'll know that it's a gay friendly district when you see the rainbow flag. It's quite interesting.

The houses are really nice. Not only are their facades beautifully carved and proportioned. But if you look closely you'll see that there are bits of intricately positioned bead work as well.

I came upon this cookie shop. The cookies are nice and the shop has a very simple name: Hot Cookie... which is very much self explanatory. What I cannot understand is why there are red underwears all over the shop window. Hmm...

I also noticed a lot of really big, muscular guys with tiny pet dogs. And that guy from the tattoo parlor looked like he had a very busy day. Business must be good. Interesting.
