Slow Food

Aunty Mary Ann and Uncle Lito have an awesome kitchen. Not only is it spacious and nicely fitted, there is also just about every equipment and utensil needed in running a small restaurant. So whenever I get a chance I try to cook something special for dinner. It's also kind'a cool to cook for the fun of it instead of doing it at work, like what I'm used to. Yesterday I made Coq-au-vin. (Chicken braised in red wine.)

Basically all you do is fry some chicken pieces, whack them into an oven dish, fill it 2/3 with red wine and then braise it in the oven on low heat for an hour or so. Then reduce the liquid so the flavor intensifies. And it's done! It's a very easy dish to make. The only thing is that you need a bit of spare time, and at the moment I got plenty of that! :)

And if you're nice enough I might even put up a link to your site. Coolness! :)
