Coit Tower

 Thursday 1 March 2007 - 21:33 (gmt - 8 / San Francisco)

I knew that I had a long day ahead of me so I went to this buffet at Bloomingdales wherein you pay for your food by the pound! I had heaps of Blueberry Pancakes and French Toast. All in all it was 1.8 lbs. Massive!

On the upper right part of the image above you can see the Coit Tower. That's where I wanted to go but it's no easy task. By the time I completed the first leg of the climb I had to rest. Not only were the steps very slippery (because it started drizzling all of the sudden) but also probably because I had too much breakfast and those pancakes were weighing me down. Hehehe!

But there were still more steps so I just kept on climbing. To my surprise I discovered that there are actually houses along the way up on the hill. Geez... I can just imaged how difficult it must be for the residents to buy a new fridge and take it home. Hehehe!

After a couple of hundred more steps I finally reached the tower. But then I have to say that I was a bit disappointed because it took a bit of effort to climb up but when I got there it wasn't really as spectacular as I expected it to be. To begin with, it didn't have a roof and it was already starting to rain. The windows are covered with glass and they look like they need a bit of cleaning. I noticed the coins in between panes and the view was nice nonetheless. Cool!
