Solitude

I almost made a complete ass of myself today. Hehehe! While taking pictures on a busy street I didn't realize that I was standing too close to the edge of the kerb (sidewalk). Usually there isn't much to worry about as far as cars are concerned. But buses are a different story. Those oversized side view mirrors can knock you out. I had a close one today. Whew! :)

So it's been almost a month since I finished work. It's alright, but not really uber fun yet. It hasn't reached that stage because so far I spent most of my time alone. And it's not because I don't have friends (Like what a lot of people say!), it's just that I intended it to be a time of solitude.

Being alone is often equated to not having a life. Well... I guess for a prolonged period that is definitely true. However, to be in hiatus for me meant taking time off from friends as well. It gives me an opportunity to examine every aspect of my life from a distance.

I'm sure we all know the expression "...stop and smell the roses.". Well, this is it for me. And it's amazing how much you can appreciate everything and everyone around you by simply slowing down, stepping aside and having a look from a different perspective.

...and it's alright if I don't get invited to Corporate sponsored blog events! BOO-HOO!
