A Typical Day |

On my way to work I always buy a
latte to kick-start my day. It's a
must-have! |
And I also have a toast. We get our
bread fresh every morning from the
bakery across the street.
|
|
 |
 |
|
The first thing I do is make up the
sauces. We need mushroom, dianne,
pepper and plain demi-glace. Boil...
boil... boil... |
Green peppercorns are the best when
making pepper sauce. Very peppery,
but has a very nice cooling
aftertaste. |
|
 |
 |
|
Then I get the rump steaks ready for
service. Unlike the other cuts, the
rump needs extra care. They normally
come in weird shapes so I have to
tenderize them. |
The one on the left is a rump as it
is, and the one on the right has
been tenderized... which cooks
evenly and of course, is more tender
and juicy. YUM! |
|
 |
 |
|
I sold a lot of steaks, but I sold
more fish and chips today. I think
that's because it's a good hangover
dish. Hehehe! |
Oh... and once every two or three
weeks I sharpen my knives. I managed
to find time so I did them all
today. Cool! |

Um...
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves
today. I have a really annoying headache
(it's not alcohol related!) so I don't think
I can spend a lot of time on today's entry.
To all of you who left comments or sent me
e-mails thank you very much! Sorry but I
will have to write my replies tomorrow. I'm
going to sleep now. Goodnight everybody...
Thanks for dropping by! :)
BTW... I'll be changing the Bistro's menu at
the end of this month. Any suggestions?
(It's
a bistro so nothing outrageous please. And
it's for autumn. ) |
