In The Kitchen As Usual

11:56pm Wednesday 18 June 2003 Sydney (gmt+10)

I made a Caesar Salad. And notice the parmesan... it's shaped into something like a flower... well... almost! =) 1:22pm Then I had to make a Seafood Mezza Plate... something that's not exactly on the menu.

Roman's working his magic with the espresso machine... ...and as always he made me his really yummy Hot Chocolate! Ooh, yummy!!! =) Then I had a three hour break so I went to the gym. It's nice for me to do my workout in the afternoon because there's hardly anybody else. =) On my way back I just had to take a quick picture of the Opera House. It's sunset and it's a perfect blue sky... but a bit cold though.

Somebody told me a long time ago (probably Wing) that you can see how good a chef is when he does the simplest of tasks... boiling eggs is a good example. Tonight I think I passed that test because they all came out okay... although sometimes I do screw it up! We weren't that busy so by 9:30 I was the only chef left in the kitchen. And I didn't have to wait long for the last order... which was for an Ice-Cream Coupe.
