After Three Days

3:25am Wednesday 11 June 2003 Sydney (gmt+10)

I knew this was going to happen! Because it was the long weekend (The Queen's B-Day on Monday) everybody had to line up and buy their tickets yesterday morning. It took me FREAKIN' 20 minutes just to get to the counter... aww crap!!! The weather in Sydney was a wee bit sunny... but almost immediately it turned a bit cloudy... and even it looked like it was going to rain. It was cold throughout the day.

I was looking a bit optimistic! Hehehe! I was so excited about going back to work that I even shaved! Hehehe! ...I tried to make something like Tanya's Three Layered Coffee Treat... but the only reason I got 3 layers on my coffee is because the chocolate and espresso shot split apart! I need more practice!
Later in the afternoon, between the lunch and dinner service... Pastry Chef extraordinare Jeremy paid us a visit. Thomas and myself have worked with him in several hotels and he's one of the best Pastry Chefs that I've ever seen. He just dropped by for a chat... and also probably to check out how many kilos I gained since he last saw me. Hehehe!

For lunch I had a Chicken Korma from the menu. Mmmmm... Kimmie's curry sauce is just perfect for the cold weather! =) Then Reinhard made me a cup of coffee! I think he's running short of caffeine as well because he was rushing to his coffee into his system. hehehe!

Kimmie was showing me how simple it was cook Basmati rice. I also know how to cook it... but some freak accident happened last week... ...and it's not something that I want to talk about because I'm so ashamed. Imagine an Asian chef not making perfect rice! SHAME-SHAME-SHAME!
